X10 Unit Settings

This window is used to change the properties of a unit code.  This is entirely optional since everything that can be done here can be done elsewhere in the program.  However, it may be more convenient for you to set it up here.

In order to use a unit code in macros or directly from the switch and sensor tabs, you need to set up setting up a logical sensor or switch.  If you have already done this, it will show you what sensor and switches are being used for this unit code.

Item Name - This is the name of the unit code, and cannot be changed.

Input or Output - All unit codes can be input, output or both, however if you select Input, the Sensor fields below will be enabled and the others grayed.  If you select Output, the sensor fields will be grayed and the switch fields will be enabled.  If you select Input/Output, both the sensor and switch fields will be enabled.  A unit code can be used as both a sensor and a switch.  This can be useful because the switch enables you to turn a light on and off, and the sensor allows you to determine if the sensor was controlled via a remote control or motion sensor.

Add Sensor - This lets you add a logical sensor for this unit code.  The Device Type, Device, House Code and Unit Code will automatically be filled in for you on the window that will appear.

Sensor - This lets you change the properties for an existing sensor.

Add Switch - This lets you add a logical switch for this unit code.  The Device Type, Device, House Code and Unit Code will automatically be filled in for you on the window that will appear.

Switch - This lets you change the properties for an existing switch.
